YOUR GAME

• Develop a second-to-none understanding of Albion’s gameplay systems and its audience
• Work with the design team and game direction to decide the direction of Albion’s future development
• Take charge of concepting new and exciting gameplay systems to maximize the long-term engagement of our players with the game and lead their development together with the production team
• Facilitate communication between designers, artists and programmers to ensure that the quality and implementation match the intended direction / vision
• Foster an inspiring, collaborative and productive environment for creative work
• Analyze available data and player opinions, and make active use of them in your decision making. Build towards improving the available data and foster players relations
• Build balancing models and use them to balance features, paying special attention to their overall impact on the game

YOUR TALENT

Minimum Qualifications:

• You MUST be very excited about the opportunity to work on Albion Online and have a keen interest in the game or similar games
• 5+ years of industry experience in game development, at least 2 of which in a GaaS environment
• Deep understanding of the MMORPG genre and business model
• Understanding of psychological mechanisms that keep players engaged
• A strong sense of what makes gameplay experience compelling and fun
• Solid theoretical and practical Game Design knowledge
• Tools of the trade: MS Excel, flowcharts, visual and level editing skills a plus
• Intense creativity, a passion to innovate, and the drive to go beyond what is directly asked of you
• Excellent communication skills in English and other languages are a bonus

Preferred Qualifications:

• A degree in game design or software development or a related field
